The target audience for the pop music video are usually aged 16-24 females. The females will be interested in fashion and idolize particular celebrities. They are likely to be in awe of the fame of celebrities and be inspired by the way they live their life.
They will watch programs such as Glee, Desperate Housewives and Two Broke Girls. The music they will be interested in is the mainstream pop charts, artists that include Taylor Swift, Jessie J, Bruno Mars, Katy Perry, Olly Murs and Kelly Clarkson.
Age 15 is the age that females begin to develop an interest in the opposite sex and a curiosity occurs in that aspect of their life. There is more connection with other people as more events take place and the person is allowed to become more independent, rather than relying on the parent; hence the words like youth, wonderland, confidence and love.
The word "wonderland" and "princess" is to demonstrate the stereotyped naivety of the target audience and how at this age females are not experienced but have the tendency to imagine they are. Due to this, they fix a plan for their future which results in being incredibly successful without considering the level of hard work that is necessary to put in.
Most of the target audience will use an aspect of social media and networking (such as Facebook and Twitter). The younger generation of contemporary society rely on social networking to communicate with the rest of the world without having to see them in person - they use it to communicate all over the world. They also use it to get their own media out their (websites like Soundcloud) such as be able to upload your own music and the rest of the world can hear it - hence the tagline "so you really want to be famous?".
The target audience will be stereo-typically feminine and have the obvious traits such as loving the colour pink, obsessed with shopping, constantly wanting to be on-trend and believing that being successful means being attractive and knowing the right people. They will be very ambitious and dream of being successful and independent.
